Yes that is my tail!

After spending a whole day finding and following tracks in the snow in Algonquin Park, I finally came across this Martin within 30 yards of the parking lot. He seems pretty calm here but when a second one arrived, they scurried up and down the trees chasing and growling at each other like a bunch of kids. After the 15 minute show, they disappeared and we didn't see them again that day. Martins, also known as Pine Martins are mostly nocturnal but in this part of Algonquin Park they are seem frequently seen during the day. They move well on the snow with their large furry paddle-like feet.
